Food Services of America had falling sales on their high price point canned crab and they needed a turn around. Product, price and vendor were difficult to change so a brand reposition was adopted along with adding a premium tier. After the release of the new brand and package a typical three year product inventory was sold in a little over a year – an almost 300% increase in sales. We had to ask WHY as it was sold in a wholesale environment, often sight unseen. Certainly reorders accounted for some increase, but we discovered the sales teams were immediately energized by the new brand position and look. Their excitement resulted in the incredible sales lift, an interesting discovery for a wholesale distributor!

Aqua Star wanted to expand it’s  business into the wholesale channel to compliment it’s existing retail offering. They needed to develop a suite of sales tools that spoke specifically to the foodservice and club store environments. Binders were created to house a library of sell sheets in various categories of wholesale products, and sales associates used these as a reference leave behind for wholesale buyers. Project breadth included print collateral, exhibt design and packaging. There was also a need for tools to communicate the companies overall product offering and differentiators. A corporate brochure was created along with a more cost effective version for giveaways at trade shows and sales meetings.

This gourmet coffee line was developed specifically for foodservice distribution in partnership with Food Services of America and Sara Lee Coffee & Tea Division. Both companies needed better market share within the growing gourmet coffee category. Originally Sara Lee agreed to pay 20% of promotional costs for this top-tier product line with FSA picking up the rest. Once design was presented Sara Lee knew the line would be a success and offered to fully fund the entire cost of production.

The package design and flavor icons were designed specifically to hold up under low quality/high volume crash printing. They held up beautifully under low tech production and have gained national distribution.
